Literature commissions

Creative & non-creative writing.
- Fixed fee (only for creative writing, to be paid up front): 10 EUR (it covers research, a general plot and character study, and the outline/draft); fiction commissions will always include a thorough preliminary discussion about the plot, script, characters, themes, and writing style (I won't "just" write a story, but help to build it from scratch through a process similar to developmental editing).
- Variable fee (to be paid before the final text is sent): 0.09 EUR per word (prose) | 0.10 EUR per word (poetry).
- The above fees include the proofreading of the final text.
Important note: I will always publish in my gallery (and eventually on my other socials/websites) an excerpt or even the whole final text of any creative literature commissions, which will also include a preview image with a logo and/or a simple sketch; the client will automatically have the right to post the same final text and preview image in their DA gallery and/or other socials (proper credit and linking back required).

Translation, Beta Reading, Editing, and Proofreading:
- Translations: (Italian -> English | English -> Italian): 0.05 EUR per word (prose) | 0.06 EUR per word (poetry);
- Developmental editing: 0.03 EUR per word (if I'll work on a complete draft) or a fixed fee calculated on the estimated length of the final work;
- Proofreading: 0.02 EUR per word (prose) | 0.03 per word (poetry);
- Beta reading: 0.01 EUR per word;

Experience & general info
I'm the editor of iCore, an adventure-fantasy light novel series inspired by Japanese isekai stories. In the past, I worked on literature commissions and as a freelance editor and translator for gaming/teen magazines (I have a professional experience of 15+ years).
I'm available for original stories, fanfics, prose, short poetry, lyrics, and non-fiction articles (news, essays, analysis, reviews, etc).
I can read and write in English and Italian, and I can make translations from and to both languages.
Turnaround times depend on the overall complexity and length of the commission.

The lack of values, the pressure of the society on the Japanese youth, the searching for the real justice, the boredom, the necessity to find a purpose for our own existence… if I would like to sum Death Note up in few words, I would write that it contains all these themes and expresses them in a really original way.
But this awesome animated adaptation of Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba's manga (the second name is a pseudonymous of the story writer, who wishes to remain anonymous) deserves a deeper analysis for sure.
Death Note manages to convey values without being banal; it manages to make you laugh, cry, arrive to the point of throwing the first object one can pose their hands on to the screen for the anger (or so it was for me).
This analysis contains heavy spoilers so I advice you to only read it if you've already completed the vision of the anime, and it contains my personal interpretation of some elements of the serie

Artwork commissions

Personal commission fees:
- sketch: 5 EUR per character;
- inking: 5 EUR (bust/headshot) / 10 EUR (half body) / 15 EUR (full body) per character;
- painting: 10 EUR (flat colours with gradient and/or pattern) / 30 EUR (cell or soft shading) / 50 EUR (digital painterly style or traditional media) per character;
- backgrounds: 5~10 EUR (simple) / 20~50 EUR (detailed) / 60+ EUR (complex background with multiple layers).
- model/reference sheets: variable fee calculated on the number of shots, poses, prompts, etc.

Additional notes:
- for commercial commissions double the above fees if you're an individual, or triple them if you're a company; I retain the right to post any commissioned artworks in my gallery and socials following the client's instruction about the timing and crediting (I'll link the client's website, socials, and/or shop).
- I'm available to draw sketchy digital art of max 2 characters in exchange for Ko-Fi donations (only for personal use, these are cheaper than my regular commissions but I've special rules set for them so please check my Ko-Fi for more info);
- I may offer discounts for simple characters, bookmarks, icons, and other smaller stuff (similarly, I may ask additional fees for characters with lots of details/props);
- I can add basic animations and/or effects to digital commissions (variable fee depending on the complexity of the request);
- all my commissions will have clean inking/lineart unless you specifically ask for a rough inking/painterly style or for partial inking/no inking at all (for traditional commissions the inking will be slightly rougher by default);
- I'm willing to draw anything except explicit/graphic content (regular violence, artistic nudity and soft eroticism are ok);
- for digital illustrations, I will send a high-resolution (300dpi), printable file of the picture (I will only work on 400dpi or more for commercial commissions);
- for traditional art, I'll send a high-resolution scan (300dpi), printable file of the picture (or a high-quality, properly cropped photo if the illustration doesn't fit my scanner), and I'm willing to ship traditional illustrations to my commissioners (extra shipping costs will apply);
- I can use several different media (markers, coloured pencils, watercolours, tempers, oils, etc.) on many different types of paper and other surfaces: glass, wood, copper, canvas, etc. (some may require an additional fee);
- I don't use a fixed format or size, and you can request any kind of layout (please notice that I'll retain some artistic freedom for commissions of traditional illustrations, which are inherently difficult to edit);
- I will always publish in my gallery (and eventually my other socials/websites) a smaller, watermarked copy of a commissioned artwork (I will post commissions on a specific date decided by the client only if specifically asked and as long as the request is reasonable);
- payments must be sent up front (all at once, or the specific fee for each phase of the work);
- depending on the complexity of the commission, it will take 1 to 4 weeks to complete.

Clay masks: 40~100+ EUR
I can make any type of mask with fan or original designs, small or big (you may use the big ones for cosplay). I use clay, but I can also add other materials like paper mache, fabric padding, etc. on request.


Clay busts & chibi figures: 100~150+ EUR
I can mould any comic, cartoon, anime, manga, or videogame character, fan characters, or even original ones, but not photorealistic characters or real people.
I may use different materials from clay to make adding accessories or the background of a diorama.
Busts will be about 15 cm tall (I can make smaller or bigger ones on request), and prices may vary according to size, level of detail, general complexity, materials, etc.

A bit of everything, prices can vary a lot depending on complexity, materials, and size.

Important note: craft commissions are the most complex and time-consuming to make, so depending on the complexity of the commission it will take 1 to 6 months to complete.

All the prices of the mask listed below already include the clear finish varnish (mat and/or gloss), and paper-mache parts and/or transparent visors for the masks that require them.
Satin/cotton strings (of various colours and sizes) or elastic headbands (black or white) can be optionally glued on any of the masks but require an extra fee: 2 EUR for strings; 3 EUR for a 5cm-wide elastic headband; 4 EUR for an 8cm-wide elastic headband; 5 EUR for a 10cm-wide elastic headband.
Other personal customizations need to be paid for separately, too (i.e. see-through fabric to cover month/eye holes, and/or fabric padding), and their costs can vary.
