[Gurren Lagann] Nia x Simon: Cosmic Love | GIFTART

This is my giftart for csakuras, who requested a Nia x Simon fanart from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I was happy to make this since I love both this anime and this pairing, and I also tried to draw the characters in Hiromu Arakawa's style (csakuras would like to see them drawn by her--I'm not as good of course but I hope at least Simon is close enough... Nia looks more like Peach from Super Mario games  XD  ). As you can see, I took some liberties with their outfits, and tried a new colouring method too; also, maybe I went a bit overboard with the background.  ^^'
This fanart is also my entry for the Magical Moments Contest at Anime-Lovers-United; the element I chose is cosmic power, which I guess could be included in the "air" category. This moment is magical because, well, love always is: especially when it ties together two different creatures like in this case (I won't say more to not spoil the plot to who hasn't seen the anime yet).
