[Fullmetal Alchemist] RoyAi | GIFTART

This Roy and Riza fanart, titled "Flames of the Progress", is a giftart for Amestris Star (I made it in a vaguely Victorian Age style because she loves that historical period) and my entry for the FMA-Brotherhood's Pairings contest (it placed among the runner-ups). Please notice that I didn't draw the chemical circle on Roy's glove on purpose, since this drawing has to be intended in a symbolic way. Furthermore, I drew that symbol on the background already and having it in two places would have been redundant. For the characters' hands, I used my own as references and also a stock picture by LongStock. Finally, I used some old Victorian Age photos, paintings, and illustrations as references for the clothes: I modified many things here and there though so the originals aren't recognizable anymore. I'm open for commissions in this style, please contact me if interested.

Ed could hear the noises of a distant fight, and the bangs of the explosions mixed with the screams of the Amestris soldiers. His right shoulder was hurting like hell, his automail shattered around. When he opened his golden eyes, he only saw smoke and fire, and could barely breathe.
Ed and his brother Al had been kidnapped by the Homunculus, to be used as human sacrifices as soon as the eclipse started. The boy felt remorseful for having put his younger brother in such a dangerous situation, but luckily they were still alive. They hadn't got their bodies back yet, though.
At least the were free again, apparently, but the cruel sounds of the war were still filling the streets of Central City...
"Al! Alphonse! Can you hear me? Are you ok?"
It seemed that his brother was still unconscious, since Ed couldn't hear any answer. He was worried for his seal: the metal of his armour could partially melt if exposed to high heat for too long...
