[Naruto] Gaara (alternate design) | GIFTART

“Do you like where you live?" Naruto had asked him. "Do you really feel at home there?“

The blond ninja had become Gaara's best friend during his stay at Konoha for an exchanging students program, and now that Gaara was back at Suna he was already missing him. And yet, even is he hadn't known the answer to that question back then he had found it now.

While riding his motorcycle over a cliff, Gaara could see the view of his city: sunrise was just moments away.
The silence. The sand that rustled in the gentle wind. The stone buildings that looked like old relics of an ancient past, but still equipped with any sort of modern technology... everything was calling at him. That was his home, and Gaara would live up to his people's expectations.

That said, paying a visit to Naruto every once in a while didn't sound like a bad idea at all.

This illustration is dedicated to KiraNoFutago, who was so nice to buy me a three months DA subscription! But there is more behind this pic, since it's inspired by several things:
- Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo (at least, I tried ^^' );
- a Naruto sketch drawn by The-Replicant which included motorcycles (he never finished it, and it's a shame since it was really beautiful);
- a Deidara-centered fanfic written by ormsqueak;
- Shukaku (for the motorcycle design);
- Sunagakure (because I love drawing backgrounds);
- Shippuuden second ending (I wish Gaara appeared in it too--his outfit here is an original design created by me based on said ending).
